Buffalos On The Air (BOTA) is an Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) event taking place August 9 – 10, 2024 to celebrate the contribution of the RCAF CC115 Buffalo aircraft through history. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the tragedy of Buffalo 461 being shot down in the Middle East on August 9, 1974, resulting in the death of all crew members who are now known as the Buffalo Nine.
On August 9 and 10 in Comox, BC, Winnipeg, MB, Trenton, ON, and Summerside, PEI, amateur radio operators will use existing antennae on CC115 Buffalos to communicate with each other and with other amateur radio operators throughout the USA and Canada.

Our CC-115 Buffalo will be open for tours from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on August 9 and 10 during the Buffalos on the Air event.
