Join us for an evening of Métis storytelling and cultural immersion as you create your own beginner beadwork craft! You’ll learn about the significance of beading to the Métis people, aka “The Flower Beadwork People,” and how their culture has shaped Manitoba’s identity.
About Borealis Beading
Owner/operator Melanie Gamache of Borealis Beading is a Francophone Métis artisan whose own beading journey helped her develop a deeper connection to her Métis roots.
Cost
$60 (museum pass holders, max. 2 per household)
$70 (non-pass holders)
This workshop will run approximately 2.5 hours and is suitable for individuals ages 12 and up.
